Why do we exist?

eBandLive exists because most band websites suck, and we’re tired of it. After years of dealing with difficult designers, flaky developers and way too many options, we assembled the eBandLive team and thought through what most bands don’t; what’s truly important to the success of my band online. The answer: a solid online platform that allows creative flexibility, quick development, social media integration, connectivity with fans, at an affordable price point.

eBandLive is a web platform built by musicians, for musicians. We’ve all been through it; we’re a bunch of wicked smart, road-tested musicians who set out to make it easier for other bands to manage their digital personas and connect with their fans. We’ve combined everything we’ve learned along the way about digital innovation, great design, strong marketing, and built the eBandLive platform. We’re able to deliver all the functionality bands need online to successfully manage their brand without being overwhelmed by too many choices.

Who’s running this show?

Jeremiah Talamantes

Founder

Jeremiah has been playing and recording music for the last 20 years in genres ranging from Latin music to hardcore punk. Early on, he developed his entrepreneurial spirit by starting an indie record label in the 1990’s and later went on to start a graphic design company focusing on the music industry. After a stint designing artwork/interactive media for Deep Elm Records, Jeremiah would go on to lay out the foundation of what would eventually become eBandLive. Together with fellow comrade, Dan, eBandLive would grow into the pure awesomeness that it is today.

Dan Behrens

Founder/Creative Director

Dan has been writing, recording and playing in numerous rock groups around the mid-west for the last 14 years, 3 of those years spent managing various Minneapolis artists. His current musical endeavors include Standard Thompson and Baltimore. As a professional, accomplished, award winning web designer, Dan and Jeremiah (long time friends) set out to solve the musician/web dilemma, launching the beta version of eBandLive in 2007. Since it’s inception, eBandLive has evolved to be one of the easiest and most powerful publishing platforms for artists around the globe.

Matt Johnson

Lead Strategist/General Manager

Matt busted his chops in the music business writing and recording music for the Minneapolis based band Panoramic Blue, sharing the stage with everyone from Maroon 5 to Journey and selling more than 15,000 records independently. More recently he launched his solo project Baltimore, landing songs on prime-time TV shows and global advertising campaigns. During his “free time” Matt’s led digital strategy teams for some of the worlds biggest brands.

Don Smithmier

Managing Partner

Don’s a longtime veteran of the worlds of music and business. His country-rock band, Rocket Club, was one of eBand’s first users and Don was so impressed by eBand that he approached its founders about joining forces to bring it to the world. Rocket Club spent 7 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Country charts in 2009 and all the while the band has used eBand to reach fans, manage shows and maintain momentum. Don’s no stranger to web businesses either. He was one of the founding employees of Capella University (NSDQ: CPLA), and has founded several successful start-ups, including GoKart Labs, the technology partner of eBandLive.

A.J. Meyer

Managing Partner

AJ started his first interactive shop in the Twin-Tone record building (home of The Replacements, Soul Asylum, The Suburbs…) back in 1994. A few hundred websites later, he’s blending everything he learned about the connected industries (music, digital, advertising, social…) to create innovative digital systems that connect.

“Eband is more than a content management platform for bands… Eband is the corner stone of the live music experience – connecting bands to fans to music to venues and back again in every combination possible…”

Rick Meyer

Managing Partner

Rick has been involved in the Minneapolis music community in one way or another for the last 25 years. He’s played every club from here to New York, and has slept on pretty much every crappy motel bed along the way. His long hours in band vans and endless nights in studios give him a unique perspective on the music business.

Rick spends the majority of his time as creative director of Rumble, a studio specializing in music and audio for television, film and any and all media. Rick’s composed an estimated 900-plus commercials over his 15 year post production music career, and has been responsible for the soundtracks to dozens of iconic ad campaigns for the likes of Target, BMW, Budweiser, Chevrolet, ABC TV, Porsche, Sesame Street, and many more.
