CONSIGNMENT: the act of consigning with the provision that payment is expected only on completed sales and that unsold items may be returned to the one consigning.
With far more space devoted to local music than other retailer, APPLAUSE and CHEAPO believe in local music. Consignment opens up many avenues for marketing not available to traditional distribution; listening posts, endcap displays, window displays and more. All we need is a contract, your CDs and marketing materials.
CHEAPO CONSIGNMENT
IN ST PAUL WE ACCEPT:
1. CD’s from IA, MN, ND, SD and WI musicians and distributors.
2. CD-R’s from MN musicians and distributors only
3. LP’s and Singles from IA, MN, ND, SD, and WI artists and musicians
Movies & videos from IA, MN, ND, SD, and WI artists and
musicians – DVD format only.
NO CONSIGNMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A SIGNED CONTRACT FROM THE PERSON OR ENTITY CONSIGNING THE RESPECTIVE PRODUCT(S).

PRICING
Pricing is very important. If our selling price is too high your products won’t sell. We don’t recommend a price to our customers higher than $12.99 unless you have significant commercial exposure already. For new musical artists and groups, we recommend a price of $9.99 or less per CD for our customers.
For CD-R’s, if they are do it yourself (DIY) discs and packaging, we will not price them higher than $4.99 to our customers. If they are professionally duplicated quality discs and inserts, $12.99 will be the maximum price to our customers.

Additional Marketing at Twin Cities stores
- 30 vertical 11 x 17 posters window displays. We can only use good looking, quality posters. If in doubt, please e-mail a jpeg of your poster.
We can accept larger sizes. Please e-mail your specs to us. consignments@cheapodiscs.com
- A CD mass display at Uptown requires an additional 40 CD’s for a total of 85 CD’s
