Dr Jon P. Bloch/The Kindle Book Review
“… White is the real thing. She knows just how to introduce and develop characters and plot, and she has a keen ear for the music of language. And she knows how to use otherworldliness as a metaphor for the human condition… There’s murder, mystery, romance, humor, and real pleasure to be found in the well-drawn characters… ”

Melissa’s Eclectic Bookshelf
“Once I jumped in, I couldn’t put it down and I must admit that I was sad when it ended… All of the secondary characters are equally charming in their own mysterious and puzzling ways… especially Winnie who one cannot help but love… The human and the supernatural meld seamlessly in this novel with elements of romance, mystery, and a healthy dose of Jennifer’s wonderful wit…”

Bookish
Jennifer B. White’s novel, Otherwise, should come with a warning: DANGEROUSLY ADDICTIVE. This book is so different from anything I’ve read before! I was fascinated, mesmerized, shocked at times, and  very pleased with its originality and vibrant energy. White’s simple and raw writing style makes reading this supernatural treat a complete pleasure, and her ability to create so many parallel plot lines and then braid them together into a complex and thoroughly satisfying novel is simply amazing. Needless to say, I was very impressed. …”

Rachel Abbott
“Otherwise is a well written novel by a person who one can only believe has some real affinity with the paranormal. Her characters are real, believable, and human (even when they are not!)…”

Fictitious Musings
“Otherwise is a fantastic blend of mystery, suspense and the paranormal, all rolled up into one amazing tale… White gives you the perfect amount of a hauntingly good time as you anxiously wait for the mysteries to unfold…  The only thing wrong with Otherwise is that it ended.”

Dark Readers
“OTHERWISE is a very intriguing novel… [what] separates Otherwise from many books that are out there today is that it fit perfectly together like a puzzle… If you are looking for a good dose of supernatural, mysterious read with wonderful upbeat and spunky characters like Delilah and Shane, I believe this is your book!”

Linus & Bubba’s Books
“Otherwise quickly delves into the realm of the paranormal, but resists being placed into any one genre, interweaving elements of romance (which I didn’t mind, surprisingly), paranormal, and even some good old fashioned whodunit-style mystery which unravels in a delightful denouement that was a pleasure to read. The book has a lovely pace, slowly introducing questions and mysteries so that by the time a resolution is reached, the reader feels as if they have joined the characters alongside their journeys, although plenty of foreshadowing offers the opportunity to guess at several key twists. I appreciated this as a nod to the intelligence of the reader- there was no pandering. Multiple interweaving plot lines are drawn to a satisfying close like a tightly-pulled drawstring.”

Librarian Mouse
“As I said before Jennifer has done a great job creating the characters. Beginning whit Delilah who begins as a woman afraid of being alone, afraid of love and afraid of silly little things that make her life very difficult. At the same time she is stubborn and somehow manages to jump to conclusions very fast (and most of the time she is so so wrong…). But the good thing is she wants to heal her mind, wants to improve her life and she is ready to try, ready to take the risks. …”

A Bookish Affair
“You can be alive, you can be dead, or you can be otherwise. Some of the residents of Green Lake are more aware of this phenomenon than others. Delilah isn’t quite sure what’s going on. I loved that the reader kind of gets to figure out what’s going on as Delilah, the main character, does. There’s so many twists and turns in this book is that it definitely keeps the reader on their toes. I love not being able to figure out what comes next in a book. …”

“ Otherwise is such an intriguing story.  The subject matter of spirits, reincarnation and the afterlife has always been a favorite of mine, and author Jennifer B. White did a wonderful job at keeping me both entertained and enthralled in the story. …”

Purple Epidemic Reviews
“…the interesting world the author created, devious yet captivating characters, flowing plot line and an overall interesting story. Recommended to anyone who likes mysteriousness, paranormal and supernatural aspects and otherworldly creatures…”

Good Choice Reading – Interview
“I’ve had quite a few experiences in my life that can only be described as supernatural in nature. (Even as I write this, my family and I are convinced there’s a ghost haunting our house!)…”

“… The special series of book Radio & Podcasts continues as Dr. Barna Donovan talks to author Jennifer B. White about publishing, publicity, screenwriting, and the author in the world of social media…  We’ve had some really great feedback from the listeners, and we wanted to talk to you again. Jennifer is all kinds of things—she’s a screenwriter, she’s a novelist, she writes taglines for some of your favorite movies… You’re an overachiever! What don’t you do? I think you’re making the rest of us look bad (laughing)… ”

“I’ve been curious about screenwriting and just how a writer can make it in Hollywood. Can screenwriters work outside Los Angeles and be successful? I was able to ask these questions and many more when I talked to Jennifer White who is a screenwriter, tagline writer and novelist. …”
