Note from Anne

spacer The horse books I read when I was a kid inspired my life-long love affair with horses. The Black (The Black Stallion) showed me that a magnificent horse can change you forever. Marguerite Henry and Mary O’Hara transported me to windswept landscapes dotted with horses. Dick Francis told me I could be a steeplechase jockey. Anna Sewell (Black Beauty) was very clear that the world can be a tough place if you are a horse and Velvet Brown’s mother (National Velvet) hit a nerve when she said that “everyone should have a chance at a breathtaking piece of folly once in their life.” I hope Raja’s story touches you the way
these horse stories have touched me.

Kick on!
