About Me

Originally from London I am now a Cambridge based freelance illustrator and storyboard artist with a particular passion for fantasy, horror and comic art.

I am extremely versatile and have been commissioned for book covers, window displays and storyboard work.

In 2010 I was commissioned to design and create a book cover for award winning Nigerian-German writer and poet Olumide Popoola’s first novella, ‘This is Not About Sadness’.

I was hired to create a window display for Central YMCA, London – the worlds first YMCA.

Toward the end of 2010 I was approached by a group of illustrators and asked to contribute to a project entitled, ‘Game of Kings’, a fantasy RPG styled affair.

The project was launched online at Redbubble.com in March 2011 prior to being published as a book.

My storyboard work have been credited as being largely responsible for the success of several pitches for corporate advertising campaigns including work for Donal MacIntyre – investigative journalist, TV celebrity and the ‘new’ face of ‘Smartwater’ and for ‘Tribal Education Group’ who successfully pitched a campaign in the US entitled ‘Learning from Mistakes’, an advert for a new phone application that will change the face of how natural disasters are handled on the ground.

I have also worked on several low budget movies and have been responsible for the development of both characters and sets.

Having grown up on a steady diet of comics, movies, paper and pencils it was inevitable that ‘eventually’ I would find myself propelled into the realms of illustration.

I tend to work traditionally – pencils and ink – but have found benefits to colouring work digitally. Colouring digitally is faster – which I have found to be of benefit with regards to storyboard work – but also allows me the luxury of easily manipulating any changes I (or clients) wish to make ‘after’ I have coloured a piece – plus its not nearly as messy, although having said that nothing beats throwing paint around on a huge canvas.

When drawing storyboards I can produce between 30 – 40 panels per day – in pencil. This figure obviously varies depending upon detail required and whether or not the client requires work to be inked and/or coloured.

I have a particular passion for science fiction, fantasy and horror, however I can turn my hand to any subject matter – this is evident when viewing samples of my work.

When I am not drawing storyboards I can be found spewing my work onto the front of t shirts.

Please do have a look around my site and feel free to contact me should you require any further information or wish to commission me for illustrations or storyboard work.
