FAQs

What sets KIT apart from the other fitness facilities?
KIT is a women’s-only fitness boutique where we are serious about what women want and what women need to reach their fitness goals. No meat-market vibe and we don’t trap you into long contracts.

Do I have to sign a year-long contract?
We do not have year-long contracts at KIT. Your Kit Card is automatically charged on a month-to-month basis but you must inform us in advance if you choose to cancel your membership or upgrade/downgrade your KIT Card. Our service sells itself and we are confident you will get addicted to us! No need for entrapment.

Why would I get results with the KIT classes when I’m not seeing results from the other fitness classes I have tried?
You are not a number at KIT. We are sincerely interested in you and your personal fitness and nutrition goals. We are not fitness instructors. We are fitness coaches. If you are a coachable woman who is willing to put your fitness as a top priority, you will get results with us.

Do I have to be at a specific fitness level to start classes at KIT?
Absolutely not. We encourage women at all fitness levels to join KIT. Our classes are challenging to say the least. But our coaches are trained to modify and inspire each and every woman that walks through our doors. You work at your own personal fitness level and we coach you to progress from there.

What if I really don’t have the time or money?
The top two excuses for slacking on health and fitness are “not enough time” and “not enough money.” And they are exactly that: Excuses. Women spend crazy amounts of money on hair, make-up, nails and clothes, none of which will produce a lifelong change or improvement in your health. It’s time to toss the excuses, ladies. We can always find the time and the money for the things that we really want. The time is now and the money is there. If fitness is not a priority to you, then KIT is probably not the place you are looking for.

Can I come in and exercise on my own time?
KIT does not offer “open gym time” at this time. We are open for scheduled classes and scheduled personal training and nutrition sessions. Feel free to contact us or just check out our schedule page.

What type of equipment do you use?
We like to involve muscle confusion and exercises that strategically fatigue the muscle. We do traditional cardio on equipment such as the treadmill, stairclimber, elliptical, X-Rides and Cycle-Ops but we also introduce new and fun tools like kettle bells, resistance bands, TRX and exercise/weighted balls. You will never get bored with our ever-changing workouts!

Can I take your classes if I am pregnant?
If you get approval from your doctor and have no restrictions with exercise, you are welcome to take our classes. We will work with you to modify our exercises if needed so they are safe for you.

Does KIT offer child care?
Unfortunately we do not offer child care at KIT. We strive to make our atmosphere a place where women can go to “get away from it all.” We want you to disconnect from other responsibilities and focus on you.

Are men allowed to participate in KIT classes or personal training?
No. We are a women’s-only fitness facility and our vision is to give women a non-intimidating, comfortable place to workout.
