Thursday, 10 February 2011, Nicosia, Cyprus and Cambridge, UK: With the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, the EUMEDCONNECT2 high-capacity data-communications network for research and education in the southern Mediterranean has strengthened its cooperation with LinkSCEEM-2, a project
that proposes the development of a high-performance computing ecosystem in the Eastern Mediterranean region by interlinking and
coordinating ICT resources.
The MoU sets out two key collaborative objectives for EUMEDCONNECT2 and LinkSCEEM-2:
The MoU was signed by Constantia Alexandrou, Project Coordinator for LinkSCEEM-2 and David West, Project Manager of EUMEDCONNECT2 on 10 February 2011.
