The Bolo Report

About

The BOLO Report is designed for law enforcement, military and other security/tactical professionals On The Job, in service or in some other way out on the sharp end. BOLO, as in “Be On the Look Out”. It will advise, inform and discuss such issues as officer safety, TTPs, tactics, pertinent technology evolution and developments in personal equipment and CDI gear. The BOLO Report will have content of interest to personnel of every conceivable assignment, from patrol (obviously) to K9, vice and tactical units, from civilian LEOs to Military Police and Security Forces and EOD.

BOLO Report Contributors and Evaluators:

David Agata

David was a career police officer in South Florida.  He has worked patrol, as an FTO, gangs, DUI enforcement, with the honor guard, burglary task force and with SRT (entry, breacher, quartermaster, sniper and sniper team leader). He is an advisory board member of American Snipers, a .50 sniper instructor for MacMillan operational development, Snipercraft Inc., Center Mass Inc. and Precision Rifle Workshop Inc. He currently provides tactical instructon to the USCG Deployable Operations Group and TACLET units.

Matthew Jacques

Matt has been involved in the military, LE and the tactical arena for over 20 years. He was a Marine MP and was assigned to Marine One. He spent time in patrol, DT instruction, CID and SWAT in Virgina, then several years as a key member of the FN SCAR project (including EUA and NET training of USSOCOM personnel). He was a trainer for everything built by FN, is a senior staff member of American Snipers and currently provides tactical and firearms instruction to a specialized Federal law enforcement agency.

Patrick DuFriend

Pat is a career Law Enforcement officer and former Marine (Infantry, Squad Leader/Platoon Sergeant and STA trained) . He finished his military career in an AF Security Forces unit and recently retired as a SNCO. He has worked in the Patrol division, by choice, his entire career in law enforcement and is currently a Patrol Supervisor. His assignments include Field Training Officer, K9 handler, and Sniper. He is currently the K9 unit supervisor, and Sniper team leader. He has instructed law enforcement and military personnel in patrol tactics and tactical deployment/ individual movements. He has been awarded two department commendations for valor.

Hollis Blair

Hollis was a Victims Advocate and First Responder for Canon City, CO Police Department and DA’s office for 4 years before making the transition into the military after September 11th. enlisting as a Security Forces (military police) member. She spent several years in that career field, deploying to both Afghanistan and Iraq (during one of which she participated in missions to which only a few S/F personnel are assigned). Recently Hollis has made the transition into Air Evacuation Medic career field and continues to serve in the Air Force.

Brian Montgomery

Brian has twenty years in law enforcement in the Pacific NW. He spent many years working probation and parole, then went to investigations. He has worked patrol, dope, gang enforcement, as a member of the firearms instructor and a member of a tactical counter-narcotics unit.
