It may be tempting to think of your site in terms of visual design and structure and content — all at the same time. Don’t…

While it’s important to have a holistic view of your web presence, before and after launch/re-launch, it is also important to turn that off and concentrate on individual elements.

Content is king

Folks like Brain Traffic exist because they know that content is king.

Consider, you are going around the Internets looking to buy a new Widget. If of two websites you visit, one looks gorgeous and tells you badly or feebly about Widgets and the other looks plain and tells you brilliantly about the stuff you knew you wanted to know and other interesting related stuff that you’re darn glad you found out — which one is more valuable to you and will receive further visits from you if not a follow-up call, email or purchase?

Holistic view

Characterized by comprehension of the parts of something as intimately interconnected…

It’s clear that while content is indeed king, there are other high-ranking attributes of a great web presence that also need taking into account.

As web designers, we cannot ‘create’ your content at it’s most basic level, but we certainly can help with our experience writing and presenting for the web.

Different from writing for print, web readers tend to want to know the answers very quickly and will not hang around if they fail.

We can help by re-writing your content as part of it’s edit process en-route to being added to your website.

Design {we love great}

Of course, we love design. The design and structure we apply and the techniques we use when building your website presence are other key parts of our work that are critical if your web presence is to be well defined.

If nothing’s fixed, everything jiggles

So we will not tackle the visual design and structure and content and technology all at the same time (to do so would be like trying to drive with a steering-column made of jelly).

A great web presence will always be one where you have provided the best input and to help you do it, we have provided the best guidance. We have then added other key aspects, visual design, content structure, SEO (search engine optimization) and more.

Ultimately, our joint aim is to make your web presence one we are both proud of on launch day and equally proud of six or 16 months later.
