Ramsay Talks have been running in Toronto for 34 years.
They began as Ramsay Luncheons ‚ with speakers like Malcolm Gladwell, Valery Gergiev, Sir Edmund Hillary, Brent Hawkes and Margaret MacMillan.
Then in 2009, they grew into Ramsay Breakfast’s smaller and more interactive gatherings with speakers like Samantha Power, Robin Ghivan, Tracy Kidder and Peter Gelb.
In 2010, Bob Ramsay partnered with the Globe and Mail and Mackenzie Financial to create the Keynote Speaker Series with leading thinkers who happen to be authors such as Ken Auletta, Sheena Iyengar, Nicholas Christakis, Tim Wu and Tony Hsieh.
Today, Ramsay Talks include all of the above, as well as speaker series programmed for organizations such as Scienta Health, featuring noted authorities from the Harvard Medical School; as well as the Hot Docs Film Festival, with a series called Critical Mass, featuring some of popular culture’s most renowned critics. In addition, in the summer of 2011 Ramsay Talks co-produced the 20th anniversary reunion of Thelma & Louise, with Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis live on stage at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto.
