Shortcircles - Time Time Time
Yesterday Oakland producer Matt Tammariello aka Shortcircles dropped a brand new self-titled EP on Plug Research, home of fellow musician and friend Elephant & Castle. On this label debut, Shortcircles shows off his craft with clever beat arrangements, tactfully placed samples and at times even some pop flavorings like in “Time Time Time.” If you missed hearing these songs at his amazing debut performance at my show last week, that’s a real shame. Catch up by grabbing the EP for free here.

Yalls - Settle Down
I’ve got another awesome premiere today from Gold Robot Records. This time from my homeboy, Oakland’s funky jam master, Dan Casey aka Yalls. Check out “Settle Down” - the A-side to his upcoming 7” Fantasy. It’s one of three killer new songs to appear on his debut vinyl release coming out February 21st. Pre-order it here.

I’m very excited to announce this year’s EOTB Happy Hour Party at the Noise Pop Festival Pop-Up Shop. On February 8th, come out and see Giraffage, Shortcircles and the live debut of Some Ember. I’m going to spin some beats in between sets, plus we’ll have crazy visuals to stare at.
