FEATURED PRODUCT: New LINES!!!

Submitted by eamon on 09/03/2012

This is the time of year to be checking your kit and replacing any worn parts which mainly tend to be bridles, pulleys, depower lines and finally, FLYING LINES. Your flying lines are the piece of your kit that are the most vulnerable to damage as they get worn while launching (especially self launching)and landing, kite tangles, kite flapping on the beach in strong winds. Your lines are one of the pieces of equipment that keep your kite's power under control and in turn keep you safe on the water. When buying new lines its always best to purchase the manufacturers lines that came originally on the bar or from another reputable kitesurfing manufacturer. Line quaility and strength can vary greatly so you'll generally find stronger more hard wearing line sets will come with a higher price tag. After line use it can be good to rinse them of the salt and sand but the most important thing is to let them air dry naturally.
When you get your new lines, take good care of them and they'll take good care of you!

Submitted by eamon on 12/02/2012

Well its that time again, a new season is underway and may it be a safe and windy one! This is the time of the year to really take a close look at the condition of your flying lines, pulleys, bridle lines, pigtails, depower lines and leader lines (especially where they enter the bar). If any of these critical parts are worn badly they most be replaced. Winter and Spring can offer challenging conditions for your equipment so be sure its all in tip top condition to help keep you safe on the water.

Are you having a sore back from your harness? How old is the harness you ride? Like other products that are made using foams, excessive use causes the foam to wear and soften over time, no longer providing the support it once gave. So if your harness is as old as that random jar of stuff at the back of fridge, than maybe its time from something new. Your back will thank you for it!
