Orders for Christmas
If you would like to order books or prints for Christmas, please place orders on or before 15 December. Any orders placed after this date will be sent in the New Year.
New Books
We are delighted to say that our last two titles, Face to Face: Ocean Portraits and Last Days of the Arctic have been well received. So much so, in fact, that we have now sold out. Our new books In Search of the South Pole and Mountain Heroes: Portraits of Adventure are now available. Please visit our books page for more information.
Limited Edition prints by Andy Smith
We commissioned award-winning illustrator Andy Smith to create original artworks for our book project In Search of the South Pole. The first is inspired by descriptions gathered from our contributors, an evocation of the Pole as both a real and an imagined place. The second, which shows Scott's feelings as he reached the Pole in 1912, needs little explanation. Both silk-screen prints are in centenary limited editions and available exclusively from this website. Visit our shop to find out more.
Polarworld on TV
Huw wrote the accompanying book for Bruce Parry's new BBC2 series Arctic. More information can be found here. He also recently appeared on-screen in the acclaimed BBC4 film Of Ice and Men. Promoting her new books, Kari has been on television and radio in Germany and Poland.
International Rights
Many Polarworld titles have been sold to publishing partners all over the world. We are pleased to be currently creating books with Frederking & Thaler (Germany), Arthaud (France), Editions Paulsen (France), Crymogea (Iceland), Piper Malik (Germany), Greystone Books (Canada) and our London-based partner Anova Books. 'Polar Event of the Year'
Polarworld creates unique and memorable events. Most recently, we directed a special polar gala in the Painted Hall in Greenwich, in association with the Old Royal Naval College and the Canadian High Commission. For information on our future events, please visit this site regularly or get in touch.
