Delgatie Castle at Turriff has recently been awarded a national award for its home baking after it was nominated by customers who love its cakes and scones.  The award recognises real home baking and Delgatie as a place where the quality is always maintained... Welcome to Delgatie Castle - a 4 Star Visitor Attraction

Delgatie Castle is a registered Charity. We are open to the public all year round, serve wonderful home baking and lunches in the Laird's Kitchen and have Self-Catering accommodation in the Castle and the Coachhouse.

Dating from 1030 the Castle is steeped in Scottish history yet still gives the atmosphere of a lived in home. It has some of the finest painted ceilings in Scotland dating 1592 and 1597.

 

It has a Mary Queen of Scots bed chamber; boasts Victorian clothes, fine furniture and paintings are displayed throughout.

 

Delgatie has the widest turnpike stair in Britain. Visit Scotland has awarded the Castle 4 stars as a 'Visitor Attraction.'

 

The " Laird’s Kitchen” serving our now famous cakes and scones along with fine food; all made from local produce. Everything is made in our own kitchen on the premises.

 

There is a Gift shop, a Fishery and Self-Catering apartments in the Castle grounds.

 

We are Open daily from 10am to 5pm;closed Xmas and New Year weeks.
