Andrew Krucoff, Frumming Out

spacer
Krucoff, the recently-fired hipster-blogger-type who launched one of the premier early features in the New York blogging scene and has spent his time in various freelance gigs and not showing up for others, is going to become the latest product sample for the Aish HaTorah outreach factory.
He’ll be chronicling his adventures at Young Israelite, and if his choice of blogs to link to and discuss are any indication, he’s already well on his way to establishing his right-wing credentials.
What may become of Mr. Krucoff? Well, the last guy who went into a major outreach organization with a specific talent and came out on top is doing pretty well for himself. But an Orthodox Jewish blogger isn’t quite so interesting a phenomenon as an Orthodox Jewish reggae singer.
A good prediction model to follow might be that of Adi Neuman, who, as those around a few years ago remember, started off as an unaffiliatedZionist Organization of America.
So, I guess the lesson here is: Don’t worry, Krucoff, the National Council of Young Israel will leave the light on for you.
