Welcome to Tradlessons!
On this site you will find a collection of short videos demonstrating tunes commonly played in San Diego and Los Angeles traditional Irish sessions.
In each video, the tune is played once up to dance speed and then once slowly.
If the site is useful to you, please consider making a small contribution to the site via the PayPal donation box on the right. Your donations support the hosting of the site as well as production costs and are greatly appreciated.
The tune videos are organized by instrument:
Tin Whistle (76 tunes)
Group 3
Group 2
Group 1
Wooden Flute
(15 tunes)
Uilleann Pipes
(26 tunes)
Anglo Concertina
(9 tunes)
In addition to the traditional Irish tune videos, I’ve developed a series of high quality traditional Irish music instrument apps for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch.
The apps are all available on the iTunes App Store for very reasonable prices, all under $5.00.
These include Anglo, English, and duet concertinas, Button and Piano accordions, Irish Flute, Scottish bagpipes, Uilleann pipes chanters, drones and regulators, wireless MIDI controllers, and full sets of Uilleann pipes implemented as English concertinas and standard piano keyboards.
