The Megabass Vision 110 Magnum SP (Suspend) builds upon the overwhelming success of the Vision 110 in major tournaments around the world, featuring Carrozzeria tuning, a redesigned fixed-balancer system, and a larger profile.

The 110 Magnum SP that is available in the US market is tuned for a super-slow sink: roughly 1 inch every second. A steady retrieve will get the Magnum down to 4ft. on 10lb test, but the Magnum really starts to prove itself when you start targeting suspended fish at different depths. Say you want to get down to 7 1/2 feet: simply count off until your Magnum reaches the targeted depth and then start working the lure. With barely noticeable movements of the rod tip, you can get the Magnum to move subtly like a weakened baitfish in the water. With strong pulls or rips of your rod, you can get the Magnum to snap back and forth with the large darting action you've come to expect from the original Vision 110 SF. The beauty of this setup lies in the fact that once you reach your target depth, you can work the lure any way you want--fast or slow--and it will stay at the target depth.

This feature is perfect for bass that are suspended at different levels in the water column. In addition, the weighting is ideal for targeting standing timber, a technique used to great effect on many lakes. Simply cast past the standing cover, jerk the Magnum until it is right next door, then let it fall slowly for at least 10-15 seconds. Many anglers have found that a slow-sink is especially effective in triggering bites in cold-water conditions.

Tuned to suspend out of the package, the 110 Magnum is an especially deadly jerkbait perfect for pre-spawn situations. With a larger profile and Carrozzerria tuning, the Oneten Magnum offers up a larger meal that will be sure to trigger bites from even the most cautious monsters. The legend just got bigger.

  • Powering through winter with Luke Clausen

Even though it is the dead of winter, there are still bass to be caught in much of the country (places the water has not turned hard).  I have spent many days fishing in water temps below 40 degrees and though the numbers of bites you get through the day can be limited, the ones you get can be the right ones.  Often in the winter some of the best quality fish in the lake are the ones you will catch; for some reason those bigger fish keep themselves in position to be vulnerable to reaction baits more so than the younger(smaller) fish.
