Our Mission

Our Mission

The Daily Tell is a chronicle of the better side of human nature.   There are thousands of inspiring stories out there of people, businesses, and government agencies making a real difference in people’s lives.  Unfortunately, many of these stories are often passed over and never reported on.  The Daily Tell is here to report on those stories.  Our mission is to show how people and organizations are striving to make this world a better place, one person at a time.

We believe there is a real demand for these types of positive news articles.  It is NOT our intention to directly compete with the standard news sources and wires.   There are already plenty of services competing to report on negative and sensationalized events.  Rather, we are to pick up on the positive, inspiring stories that the news agencies do not report on.  By reading The Daily Tell, a reader can get a more complete picture of an individual or organization beyond the usual focus on negativity found in most news agencies.

The Daily Tell reports on and archives a wide range of positive activities, including business philanthropy, government programs to combat poverty, nonprofits addressing an urgent need, and individuals who are creating innovative strategies to tackle today’s problems.

The ultimate goal of The Daily Tell to remind readers that all is not “doom and gloom” out there.  People and organizations are working hard to improve the quality of life, spread awareness and empowerment, and clean up our world.  We believe it is time these individuals and organizations get the recognition they deserve, and we hope their stories will inspire our fellow citizens to respond in kind.

Comment policy: All comments are moderated by editors during business hours. We encourage comments, but please note that your comment may not appear until the next day. Thanks for you patience!

Please note that The Daily Tell is NOT a source of funding for the activities we report on. Our mission is to give nonprofit groups and philanthropic events more publicity, and direct our visitors to these groups’ respective websites and contacts. We do not give out grant money of any kind. Please contact the organizations we report on for any funding opportunities.
