Nous ouvrons notre boutique fin mars ! Vous avez sûrement vu sur Facebook que nos dossiers de presse ont été envoyé pour annoncer notre ouverture.

Après avoir découpé des centaines de stickers, tamponné des cartes de visite et plié des communiqués de presse, nous sommes bientôt prêt.

Vendredi nous avons passé une journée à l’atelier Ooblik pour imprimer nos BAT des photos d’Arnaud Teicher, Jonathan Deltour et François Jenssard. Calage, vérification des couleurs, choix du papier, on sent que nous approchons de l’ouverture et Marc (co-fondateur ooblik) nous a encore une fois prouvé que nous avons bien fait de les choisir comme partenaire pour l’impression des photos. Le résultat est qualitatif.

Découvrez quelques photos de cette journée, j’ai pris le soin de ne montrer que la partie production. Le repas, le dijo et les blagues de Marc c’était du bonus pour nous.

We’re nearly ready to open our doors!

After having cut out hundreds of stickers, stamped all our business cards and folded each press release, we’re just about ready our grand opening at the end of March.

If you’ve been following us on Facebook, you’ve probably noticed that we’ve been sending out press kits in the lead up to the big event.

Last Friday we spent the day with Ooblik, getting our glossies for printing ready which include photos by Arnaud Teicher, Jonathan Deltour and François Jenssard. With all the work going on, you certainly can tell we’re just about ready for the opening! There’s setting up to do, colour calibration to tend to, and of course the choice of paper is key.

Marc (co-founder at Ooblik) has without a doubt proven himself to be the man for the job when it comes to all our printing. The results are outstanding.

Check out these photos of our hectic day. The food, the drinks and Marc’s jokes were all bonuses for us.

Si j’ai si peu publié ces derniers temps, c’est parce que je me suis découvert une passion pour la découpe à la main d’autocollants ou encore le tamponnage de cartes de visite.

Je souhaite vous présenter un coup de coeur découvert dans le livre”Behind the Zines: Self publishing culture” par Gestalten (je recommande ce livre).  Il s’agit des éditions 0-100, qui publient 4 fois par an un fanzine de photographie de 16 pages au format A5. Cette petite maison d’édition italienne en est déjà à son 8ème numéro. Vous l’aurez compris, le fanzine est limité à 100 exemplaires et je serai content de pouvoir le distribuer dans notre boutique.

If I haven’t been posting a lot lately it’s because I’ve recently been spending most of my time cutting out stickers and stamping business cards! My two favourite new hobbies…

But today I’d like to take a moment away from all the slicing and stamping, and introduce you to a new discovery I made.

In the book “Behind the Zines: Self Publishing Culture” by Gestalten (a book a highly recommend), there is a profile on Éditions 0-100, a publishing company that puts out a photography fanzine about four times a year.

With each zine being comprised of 16 pages and printed on A5 paper, the small Italian publishing house is already on it’s eighth issue. And yes, as you’ve probably guessed, we are thrilled to soon be distributing the newest issue here at the store. Naturally, it’s a limited edition for a total of 100 copies available.
