South West
Info:
Embedded within the magical woods of Nova Scotia, in the heart of the Southwest Nova Biosphere Reserve (UNESCO Site) and just 5 km from Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site you will find Mersey River Chalets and Nature Retreat.

Seven secluded chalets/cottages are nestled along the Mersey River and where the river enters Harry Lake, three Sioux style tipis offer accommodation for the more adventurous. Four comfortable rooms in the lodge allow you to view Harry Lake through a stand of old growth hemlock trees.

Only a two-hour drive from Halifax and 40 minutes from the historic town of Annapolis Royal, Annapolis County, the resort offers unique Nova Scotia vacation experiences year round including kayaking, canoeing, lake and river swimming, boardwalk and nature hiking trails, bird watching, fishing, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and eco tourism packages in cooperation with the Mersey Tobeatic Research Institute.

As an ecotourism destination the owners are committed to sustainable tourism practices and would like to share our beautiful surroundings with you and invite you to learn about flora, fauna, including species at risk, and our cultural heritage.

So whether you are looking simply for a relaxing and peaceful retreat or for numerous outdoor activities you will enjoy your stay and leave with a memorable experience.
