Recently I was tasked with redoing all social media for Al Watts, a local businessman who just released a new book called Navigating Integrity.
The goals of the project were to build a reputable online presence for Al and to provide calls to action to purchase his work. The campaign took place across various social media platforms
The three facets of the project related to data were creation, organization, and connection. Content was created in the different platforms where there were previously holes, current data was organized in a more understandable fashion, and the different platforms were connected to one another.
The design portion of the project was focused on creating a comfortable, consistent look that would be appealing but not distracting to the end user.
AlWattsIntegro.com was a custom designed wordpress blog for the client, using their colors and themes. There was a heavy emphasis on dynamic, easily editable content, including the functionality along the right sidebar which allows polls, quotes, and various other things that can be controlled by the client.
Al’s Facebook page needed some work from the ground up. Content was switched up, and these custom facebook landing pages were created. The key with these was to drive people to learn more about Al, contact him, and join a contest, all inside of facebook. These pages added a flair of professionalism because they stand apart from typical facebook pages.
Al’s Twitter was modified to promote a consistent branding effort throughout his sites. Colors were tweaked, and the background was designed according to his standards. There was also a significant amount of training into twitter, it’s purposes, and how it can be best utilized for publicity and user engagement.
Overall, great person and great project to work on! Thanks Al!
