Welcome to the Georgia Section
January 29th, 2007
This is the website for USPSA Practical Shooting in Georgia. Here you’ll find information on our clubs, details on the matches we host, and information on how to get started in this great sport.
Just as Georgia offers everything from the seashore to the mountains, Practical Shooting in Georgia runs the gamut from small 3 or 4 stage indoor matches on weekday evenings to full, national match quality, day-long, 8 stage outdoor events. Every month, just about every week of the year, one of Georgia’s USPSA affiliated clubs is hosting a match to challenge the expert shooter and introduce the novice to the most fun sport around: USPSA Practical Shooting.

Phil Strader for USPSA President
October 24th, 2011Phil Strader for USPSA President. He remembers the grandeur that the Nationals used to enjoy and wants to work to restore that. He wants multi gun rules that all the several organizers can agree upon. He wants to fix Steel Challenge and make it a prosperous part of USPSA. And he (contrary to what others have said — and that includes me and for that I apologize for misunderstanding) does NOT want to go to all-Turtle targets! Please vote when your ballot arrives in the mail. The turnout was only 30% last month, and that’s a lot for a USPSA election and unbelievably pathetic at the same time. We can do better. We NEED to do better to make Phil’s quest successful. Please Visit Phil’s website for more details. (Comments are enabled for this post.)

No Riverbend Match This Weekend
October 21st, 2011Ladies and Gentlemen,
Unfortunately I must cancel this Saturday’s USPSA match. Many of our regular set-up crew are busy and work is really busy for me. We are kicking around a November match thinking that all you Turkey day family folks will be ready to get away from the in-laws, neices, nephews, and parents after Thursday and Friday, more on that to come.
Sorry for the late notice and thanks for your support!
Mark Leeber
