VANGUARD ENDEAVOR ED BINO |
|
We'ved recently reviewed the Vanguard Endeavor ED 8x42 binocular. We found it to have superior resolution compared to other binoculars in the low-to-mid-price range.
With its hollow bridge and hand-friendly design, it's a winner. Yet it costs only $349.99.

BIRDING DVDs |
|
See our favorite DVDs about birds
Some are classics, like Watching Warblers, which has been our best-selling bird DVD for several years.
Others are new, like award-winning First Flight, a documentary about a black-chinned hummingbird who nested on a clothesline on a porch. Watch the eggs hatch and see the babies develop as the mother feeds them and defends them from a cat. |

THIS MORNING OUTSIDE
Return of the Phoebe |
How lovely to have the eastern phoebe back in town! He sings his name, fee-bee, over and over in a burry voice. He's the first flycatcher to come back every year, and before there are many insects to be caught.

ALMOST POCKETABLE NIKON SCOPE |
|
FROM NIKON
We fell in love with this tiny 50mm spotting scope when we saw it.
It was so bright and sharp bought one ourselves. Diane took it to Guatemala and easily carried it up steep rainforest trails. She had great views of birds through it.
Check it out!
