We, Pinar Demirdag and Viola Renate, form an independent design duo which creates hyper detailed surfaces by 'scanning' the contemporary visual culture, and 'printing' ecstatic surfaces in return. Colossal visual gestures, hyper intricate detail and excessive embellishment fill our collaged designs to the brim. By transposing, fusing and altering its elements, we aim to subvert conventional compositions.

These notions all collapse into a lively and sparkling surface of contemporary and informational intensity. That's why we started using the term 'Ecstatic Surface Design' to frame our graphic design practice.

As Pinar&Viola, we initiated a new modus operandi in the cosmos of graphic design which is an experiment on the fulfillment of surfaces. Every year, we launch an autonomous Ecstatic Surface Collection which tends to be recognized as the 'haute couture' of our practice.

Ecstatic Surface Collection 2011, The Credit Card Collection, was launched at SPRMRKT, Amsterdam.
The collection for 2012, entitled Diva Opaque, Anonymous Guardians of Intimacy was exhibited at Schrak8 Gallery.

Our 2013 Collection will be launched in May 2013, represented by Murat Pilevneli in Istanbul.
