For the next two years, I’d like to invite you to join me on a creative journey, as you work toward the completion of your master’s degree and the creation of a publishable work of literature. The Cedar Crest College Pan-European Creative Writing MFA program offers gifted student-authors from around the world a unique opportunity to unite for three 15-day intensive pan-European workshops, held in locations that are rich in inspiration, culture, and literary significance. The remainder of your studies will take place on your time and in your home, guided by award-winning faculty-authors and supported by an international community of student-authors. We look forward to meeting you, guiding you toward publication, and celebrating the successful creation of your work.

On this website, you will learn more about the award-winning faculty-authors who will mentor you, the diverse and colorful European residencies that will serve as inspiration for your studies and your craft, and the professional writing coursework that will provide you with the skills and tools you need to successfully complete a work of publishable quality. You will also find practical information on how to prepare a portfolio of your work, what financial aid may be available to you, and why we are dedicated to providing continued support for alumni after graduation.

As you peruse this site, you might discover that you wish to speak directly with one of our admissions counselors to ask a particular question regarding our MFA program. Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time. Wherever you live, wherever you write, you are a part of our writer’s community, beginning today. We look forward to hearing from you—and helping you share your voice with the world.

All the best,
Fred Leebron
