We’ve been published in North Shore magazine. NS Magazine’s 2012 March/April Home issue features our award winning Prides Crossing, Beverly project. Built in 1907 as a carriage house for the historic Ayer estate in Prides Crossing and later converted into a featureless condominium in the mid 1980′s, the article tells the story of how Wilson Kelsey Design created an authentically styled French villa interior.

Published in Boston Globe Magazine: See one of our projects in the Sunday Globe Magazine December 11, 2011. Stylewatch. A Boston Condo redo.

Christmas in Salem Annual Tour of Homes will have one of the homes we have worked on over the years on tour. Tour will be held the weekend of December 2-4, 2011. See Christmas in Salem for ticket information. The home we helped with dates from the early 1800′s. We helped the owners renovate an attic into a wonderful family room and children’s bedrooms.

Sally Wilson,  ASID,  is a Featured Speaker at the 35th Boston International Antiquarian Book Fair, which will be held at the Hynes Convention Center from November 11-13, 2011. Her Topic is “Decorating with Books and Prints – Using Antique Books and Works on Paper  in your Interior Design Scheme.”

October, 2011
PRISM AWARDS 2011 again saw Wilson Kelsey Design at the winner’s podium. A Silver Award was given for Best Interior Design: Living Room, for a Boston Commonwealth Avenue condominium.

The 4th Annual Kitchen Tour that benefits the Wenham Museum will feature one of our projects.  We designed a new kitchen for an 1804 Federal period home in Manchester. Tour date is Saturday, October 15th from 11:00 to 4:00. Tickets can be purchased online here.

One of our current projects, an 1804 Federal period home in Manchester is about two months from completion. Read progress reports on our blog here. Meanwhile, work continues on a condo in Boston’s back Bay and an ocean front home overlooking Marblehead Harbor.

We wrapped up a successful Wenham Museum Design Show in late May. “Ultra Chic, best in show, Hollywood retro space” is how one attendee at the Gala party described our vignette. The Bauman mobile, Virginia punch bowl with Nemo swimming about, and the checkered paneling were real show stoppers! John and Sally are getting ready for the May opening of the North Shore Design Show, opening at the Wenham Museum with a Gala Party May 13th. The show features specially designed vignettes by Boston area designers and is always a treat. Show dates are May 14-22, 2011. See the Wenham Museum site  for more information.

Sally has made “The List” in Boston Common Magazine’s Spring 2011 issue! She is proud to be mentioned alongside the likes of Meryl Streep, Queen Latifah and Michael Bloomberg. What next? See page 58 of the magazine for the complete “List”.

Sally was the guest columnist for the March 1st New England Home Blog, in an article about color, delivered in Sally’s inimitable way. Entitled “Live a Colorful Life!” click here to read the post.

John was a panelist for the IFDA meeting of Feb. 28th, with moderator, Bruce Irving, the former producer for This Old House. The Topic: “TeamWork: Architects, Builders and Designers: the power of a winning design team.”

Sally and John have been asked to be guest “columnists” for the New England Home magazine’s Blog. Johnwill do the first article on February 15th about lighting, and Sally will follow with a column on March 1st, topic held in secret until unveiling. See the recent post at blog.nehomemag.com/. The title is “Confessions of a Lighting Junkie”.

Sally Wilson, ASID will be a featured panelist for the January meeting of the Boston Luxury Marketing Council. Panel topic will address how the luxury market in New England is changing and developing. Meeting will be on January 26, 2011, by invitation.

November, 2010
The Institute of Classical Architecture and Classical America has awarded Wilson Kelsey Design one of the first annual Bullfinch Awards at a recent State House ceremony. They received their award for Best Interior Design for an interior renovation project.
