Words from the ever-so-wise Doughboy (Ice Cube) in John Singleton’s LA neighborhood tale, ‘Boyz in the Hood’.  The life of two half brothers, Ricky and Doughboy, draw clear parallels to our brand.  It’s a story we’ve become all too familiar with growing up here.  Two brothers on opposite sides of the street; star athlete & neighborhood criminal.

When it came to naming our American Bulldog, we chose the latter.  The reference screams tough, but the name is more reflective of his Pillsbury-soft demeanor.

We represent the good & the bad, forcing you to respect and understand the need for both.

p.s.  I swear we should have named him after Brian from Family Guy.
