The Sprout Fund

The Sprout Fund, a project of The Tides Center (PA), is a nonprofit organization supporting innovative ideas and grassroots community projects that are catalyzing change in Pittsburgh.

Sprout works to foster and nurture community-driven solutions toward the common vision of a region that is thriving, progressive, and culturally diverse-a region which can better attract and retain its young talent. Since 2001, through its Seed Award and Public Art programs, Sprout has supported, catalyzed, and facilitated community-led solutions for positive regional change.

With ongoing local support and continued appreciation by the communities it serves, The Sprout Fund will continue to provide an entry point for young people to become involved and active in their communities and support projects that have the collective power to shape a new culture and vision for the region.

Engage Pittsburgh Continues!

The Sprout Fund's Idea Round Up on September 9th was a great success with more than 300 creative Pittsburghers brainstorming ways to improve our region, developing hundreds of ideas over the course of the day. But even if you couldn't make it to the Round Up, the conversation continues at Sprout's all-new engagepittsburgh.org online, interactive community where you can view and comment on the ideas and discuss each further as Sprout prepares to issue RFPs worth $100,000 to implement some of these initiatives.
