Powertraveller PowerMonkey eXplorer Solar Charger

The award-winning PowerMonkey eXplorer is not just a portable solar charger for adventure travellers.  This tried and tested solar charger from Powertraveller is also compatible with the majority of mobile phones, iPods, iPhones (now including iPhone 3GS/4), MP3 / MP4, PDAs and portable games consoles including the Sony PSP and Nintendo DS and DS-Lite.
 
This ultra-compact, tough, powerful solar charger is ‘Works With iPhone’ and ‘Made for iPod’ approved making it ideal for festivals and travel.  The Powermonkey eXplorer is also water resistant, made from rubberised casing and can supply 96 hours of standby to a standard mobile, 40 hours to an iPod, 5 hours to a games console, 48 hours to a PDA and 6 hours to MP3/MP4 players.
 
Full power can be maintained by recharging the Powermonkey eXplorer in one of three ways: via the included universal mains charger, via USB or via the solar panel.  The latest PowerMonkey eXplorers all incorporate a SolarMonkey solar panel which features state-of-the-art MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology which enables more efficient charging of the in-built PowerMonkey battery unit in low light conditions.
 
The kit includes a useful Velcro strap, enabling the SolarMonkey to be attached to a rucksack or tent - perfect for charging the Powermonkey battery unit when you're out and about in the sun.  It can even be hung from a window, left in a car and will supply power anywhere the sun shines!
