Guest Music Director

I DEWA PUTU BERATA is a musician, composer, dancer, and visual artist from Bali, Indonesia. He is a highly celebrated figure in the Balinese performing arts world, skilled in both traditional and innovative styles. He is the founder and director of Çudamani, one of Bali’s most innovative new gamelan ensembles.
Pak Dewa is Guest Music Director through June 2012.

I MADE SUBANDI is one of Bali's most internationally recognized modern composers. Known for his love of experimentation, he is in high demand internationally for his innovative compositions. He is a graduate of Bali’s National Institute of the Arts (STSI Denpasar) and has taught for many years at the Indonesian Academy of Performing Arts (SMKI) in Bali.

Guest Dance Director

EMIKO SARASWATI SUSILO is a dancer, singer, and musician who has been active in Balinese and Javanese arts for 25 years. She began teaching Balinese dance eighteen years ago, is now the Associate Director of Çudamani, and continues to teach in Bali and abroad.
Emiko is Company Director & Dance Director through June 2012.

IDA AYU MADE DIASTINI is known throughout Bali for her exquisite interpretation of the traditional dance Oleg and her excellence in performance. She is highly respected for her teaching skills—via classes at UNHI (Universitas Hindu Dharma); through the office of the Governor; via lessons in her village, Singapadu; and through residencies abroad.
