Placing an
Order
A $250 non-refundable deposit is required to place an order and to 'lock in' the current price. Once your deposit is received you will be assigned a production number and given a rough estimate of when your instrument will be completed. The price that you 'lock in' by
placing a deposit is for models that are being offered at the time you make
your deposit. If newer models come into existence after you make your
deposit, the price for these models is not subject to the price you have locked
in, though you will still be entitled to purchase the models that were offered
at the time you put in your deposit for the price you were quoted.
Deposits must arrive within 10 days of your verbal commitment in order to lock
in the verified price. I am now allowing deposits to be made by credit card
through PayPal. Simply send me an email that states that you
would like to pay the deposit through PayPal and I will send you an email that walks you through the process. Deposits can also be made by check or money order and should be made payable to Sligo Road Productions and mailed to:
912 Squire Oaks Dr., Villa Hills,
KY 41017 USA
Paying the
balance
You will be contacted several weeks before your instrument goes into production to firm up options (note configuration, choice of wood, endplate design). The balance will be due within 21 days of this
communication.
Payment Methods accepted for the
balance:
We accept personal or business checks, cashier's checks,
money orders (including international money orders made payable in US funds) or
cash. Unfortunately we are not able to accept credit
cards (including PayPal) for the balance owing.
All payments must clear prior to shipment. The
purchase price also includes a hardshell case but does
not include shipping charges. Losses incurred during shipping are the responsibility
of the purchaser so I highly encourage that you have it shipped
insured. Kentucky residents, or individuals who want to pick up their instrument in
person, will also be charged applicable sales taxes.
Available
Options:
Keys: C/G,
C#/G# or Bflat/F
Adjustable Handbars: $100
additional Charge
Bellows Papers: $75 additional
Charge
Note configuration: This is fairly open. However, I have devised my own scheme which combines the Jeffries and Wheatstone systems which I call the Carroll Standard. The Note Configuration Chart shows this scheme and any deviations requested should be made with reference to the button numbers indicated on this chart.
Wood used on ends: I am currently offering Walnut Burl, Elm Burl, Padauk, Indian Rosewood, Santos Rosewood, and Solid Black. I am also now offering Amboyna Burl with an optional Padauk trim for an extra $100 charge.
Other options not listed: Feel free to make special requests and I'll let you know whether or not I can do it.
