What will Bird Brain do for you?
Bird Brain is a world birding database for Macintosh computers.
Bird Brain lets you record and track your bird sightings. It keeps your notes, images, QuickTime movies, and other files with your database. You can enter an unlimited amount of information on each sighting.
Bird Brain makes life lists. It picks the earliest record of each species from any set of records for a life list you can view on screen, print out, or export.
It creates checklists and target lists for over 200 nations and any US state or Canadian province. Nearly any kind of bird report you can think up, Bird Brain will create.
Bird Brain's internal reference database is based on the current Clements Checklist of Birds of the World, which is updated regularly by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. It includes species, subspecies, ranges, and taxonomy. It keeps track of recent splits, lumps, and name changes.
Bird Brain also gives you one-click access to information on the Internet about any bird species.
You can immediately see the particular page from Google, Cornell All About Birds, YouTube, and Wikipedia relating to that bird.
What you see is always dynamic. It's the current, living, constantly evolving ornithology.
Bird Brain 6.2 is made in FileMaker Pro 11 and incorporates FileMaker's many powerful features.
