Registration now definitely open!

OK,

we’ve resolved out difficulties with a certain unnamed payment service provider, and while registrations have remained open over the weekend (thanks to those people who registered), full service has now been resumed.

Registrations are going very well, and do keep in mind, the super early bird runs out on Friday, so to save yourself an extra $100, sign up this week.

Thanks for your patience,

John, for the Web Directions team

Registration Opened. Payment… not so much.

After opening registration this morning, we’ve been thrilled with the response. Well, the response from all of you; not so much with that of our transaction provider (rhymes with “hay-gal”).

At the moment, our account is locked; we’ve apparently been flagged due to some “suspicious activity” which we’re told stems from the value of a single drop down menu (from legitimate orders, no less). Yeah, we don’t know either. Security thing, no doubt. The upshot of this is that we can’t receive any money at the moment. We hope to have this resolved within the next 12 to 24 hours, but for now, we’re on ice.

Please continue to register in the mean time, though! This only affects our ability to process actual credit card transactions; your registration details are stored in our own system, which is working just fine. We’ll send out a reminder email to everyone who registers between now and when the account is back up and running. Shouldn’t be long. Thanks for understanding!

Update: Weekends being what they are, we’ve finally gotten through and convinced the transaction provider in question to restore our account access. So now it’s just a matter of flipping a few switches over on our registration system. We’ll update again in once that has been done.

Update: We’re back! All’s back up and running finally. Thanks again for your patience and continuing to register in the meantime, feel free to complete your ticket orders now.

So until November 3rd we are offering an extra special discounted price of just $CDN795, $200 off our standard price, for the first 100 people who sign up. We’ve already had quite a few early registrations, so don’t wait too long.

Community Partners

If you’d like to support Web Directions North, and get a nice link back from us as thanks, then please take alook at our new Community Partners program.

We’ve got a range of Web Directions North badges, based on Dave Shea’s fantastic logo design. All you need to do is add a badge and a link, and send us a logo, a little text, and the page you’d like us to link to, and we’ll add you to our “Community Partners” page. I am sure we’ll find some other nice ways of saying thanks to our community partners too.

Our only restriction is the pages we link to must be relevant to our community of web designers and developers, so we do reserve the right to not add a link - but that won’t have any impact on any legitimate links.

Thanks

Dave, Derek, Maxine and John
