Whereoil Enterprise is an enterprise search engine designed for the Oil & Gas industry and combined with knowledge management and workflow integration functionality.  This positions it uniquely when compared to existing products on the market. It combines the speed and scalability of an enterprise search engine, the precision and structure of a corporate database and the flexibility and user friendliness of modern internet collaboration technologies and community tools.

Whereoil Enterprise lets you find and manage all your data, structured or unstructured, wherever they are: on your disks, on the public Internet, in the country’s National Data Repository, and more.

It is possible to add metadata information to any record found in Whereoil. This could be unstructured comments to a document, or a structured dropdown list based annotation connecting the Interpretation project to its contributors. The annotations become instantly part of your corporate knowledge, and are available to others in your company.

GIS Interface: Whereoil Map

Whereoil also has a GIS interface, Whereoil Map, that allows a quick and effective browsing of spatial data. It has all the features of a light GIS browser: it allows you to change zoom levels, add and remove layers, search by name, region or spatial feature  and find results in multiple layers simultaneously. Whereoil Map is fully integrated with the search component. Almost any result set found by the search engine can be sent to the map to see the location of spatial features like wells, licenses, surveys – the list is long.

If you don’t have a corporate GIS system – Whereoil Map is an excellent starting point. If you do – Whereoil Enterprise can integrate with it the same way it integrates with Whereoil Map.
