Dear Friends,
On October 9, Integral Yoga provided a Day of Wellness for 9/11 First Responders at the request of the World Trade Center Medical Monitoring and Treatment Program at Bellevue Hospital Center. Nearly twenty men and women who selflessly served our city on 9/11
attended a chair Yoga class—the first-ever Yoga class for many
experienced holistic healing practices such as Reiki, Swedish massage, Thai Yoga Massage, reflexology, healing touch, and deep relaxation
participated in a group discussion of how and why these practices can be helpful in healing physical and emotional wounds
learned about healthful eating and enjoyed a vegetarian lunch donated by ’Snice
All this was given by Integral Yoga Institute free of charge.
All the practitioners and staff volunteered their time and expertise.
The day ended with many people in tears, responding to the love and care that Integral Yoga always extends to every person and every population that comes here.
We were able to host this day thanks to your generous contributions.
Integral Yoga’s ongoing service to patients with MS, to formerly homeless women finding new lives, to military veterans of all ages, to developmentally disabled youth, to the unemployed, and to people living with all kinds of health challenges is also made possible by your donations.
So, we ask you again this year to continue to support Integral Yoga and its commitment to bringing healing modalities, peaceful practices, and spiritual teachings to as many people as possible.
Yours in the light of Yoga
