Welcome to the Sun Grid Developer Community!

spacer The Sun Grid Developer Community is a catalyst for the emergence of standards, infrastructure, architecture and partnerships for the Sun Grid pay-as-you-go, utility computing ecosystem. There are many tools and resources available in our community to help you get started using Sun Grid technology. Check out in our Community projects for useful utilities and examples.

Sun is changing the very nature of computing by delivering access to enterprise compute power over the Internet with its Sun Grid Compute Utility. Sun Grid provides an easy and affordable access to an enormous computing resource for the predictable and all-inclusive price of $1/CPU-hr. Sun Grid provides zero barriers to entry and exit. You can access the computing power you need, when you need it, with no hidden costs, without a long-term contractual obligation, and increase or decrease your usage as your demand requires.

Sun Grid provides developers with access to runtime / execution environment for load / scale testing across a large number of horizontally-clustered, integrated systems and partner architectures without having to acquire and maintain hardware and software.
