About the Academy

Ghost Hunting. Paranormal Investigating. Research. What was once considered a fringe “interest” or “hobby” is now a household concept named by many different terms. The field of paranormal research and investigation has basically become open to those who are interested at any level. There are those who devote their lives to researching the afterlife, and the existence of spirits after death. Others simply prefer to learn what they can in a less-involved way. The TAPS Academy serves as a source of information and training for people at all levels of interest. However, we want it to be clear that we do not certify investigators, or offer degrees in paranormal research. What we do is provide information and preparation to support you in furthering your interest, whether that be to continue learning from the fringes or investigating in the field.

TAPS Academy started as a simple idea being discussed back and forth between Kris and Chris about training investigators on their own teams. Then, through many discussions about the need for an extensive, comprehensive, and thorough training course in the paranormal community as a whole, the idea of TAPS Academy was born. Kris and Chris then presented the idea to Jason Hawes, and with his approval, TAPS Academy is now soon a reality.
