Facilities
At the DPRC we currently have 8 shooting ranges to facilitate every shooting discipline, with a few specialized for specific shooting disciplines i.e. benchrest or bullseye pistol shooting. In addition to the shooting ranges we have a Bow Hunting Course with multiple targets.
Range #1
Range number 1 is primarily a benchrest range featuring 20 concrete benchrests with wooden stools, target stands at 50 and 100 yards. There is also a skeet launcher mounted at the far-left side of the firing line for those wanting to shoot shotguns at flying targets.
Range #2
Range number 2 has a fixed firing line, rotating target frames at 25 yards and fixed target frames at 50 yards for bullseye pistol shooting competition. Handguns, rifles and shotgun may be fired on this range. This range only supports firing from a standing position.
Range #3
Range number 3 is our largest general use pit with a depth of approximately 80 yards. Any firearm in the approved calibers can be fired on this range. This range does not have a fixed firing line only a minimum firing line. There are no fixed target frames on this range.
Range #4
Range number 4 is a general use pit with a depth of approximately 40 yards. Any firearm in the approved calibers can be fired on this range. This range does not have a fixed firing line only a minimum firing line. There are no fixed target frames on this range.
Range #5
Range number 5 is a general use pit with a depth of approximately 30 yards. This pit differs from the others general-purpose pits because it has side impact berms towards its rear impact berm. The side impact berms are the portions of the berm that border the mulch ground cover. The portions of the berm that border the crushed stone are not side impact berms. Any firearm in the approved calibers can be fired on this range. This range does not have a fixed firing line only a minimum firing line. There are no fixed target frames on this range.
Range #6
Range number 6 is a general use pit with a depth of approximately 25 yards. This pit has a covered roof firing line, wooden benches, tables and a target shed. Any firearm in the approved calibers can be fired on this range. This range does not have a fixed firing line only a minimum firing line. There are no fixed target frames on this range however, only the back berm is an impact berm.
Range #7
Range number 7 is our dedicated rifle range with targets stands at 100, 200 and 300 yards. The range has 22 covered firing points with the first 6 prioritized for shooting at 300 yards. The first six firing points are on a concrete slab and feature movable wood and steel benchrests. There are a few wooden table/benchrests also available on range #7. This range also has a two firing point bench at the far right of the firing line where members and their guests can sight in their firearms before attempting finer adjustments at longer distances. There is a target shed behind the range with all kinds of rifle targets and cardboard backers inside.
Range #8
Range number 8 is a pistol/shotgun only pit with a depth of approximately 15 yards. This range features a steel plate rack (six plates) for pistol shooting. This pit has a covered roof firing line, wooden benches, tables and a target shed. Only pistols and shotguns in the approved calibers can be fired on this range. This range does not have a fixed firing line only a minimum firing line. Only the back berm is an impact berm.
