spacer Seyi Verma - Product Marketing Manager
Seyi Verma is the Senior High-End Technical Analysis Staff responsible for technical product analysis, FPGA architecture and technology solutions for Altera's high-end FPGA product lines. Since joining Altera in 1998, Mr. Verma has held a variety of product engineering positions responsible for the Configuration, Mercury and Stratix series product lines. His experience covers all aspects of programmable solutions, including FPGA testing, silicon debug, characterization, failure analysis, software and tools. Mr. Verma holds a BSEE from Rochester Institute of Technology, New York.

spacer Vaughn Betz - Director, Software Engineering
Dr. Betz is one of the architects of the Stratix and Cyclone FPGA families, as well as the placement and routing engine and the power analysis and optimization features within the Quartus II software. Dr. Betz authored the book Architecture and CAD for Deep-Submicron FPGAs and numerous technical papers. He has more than thirty issued and pending patents. Prior to joining Altera, Dr. Betz was a co-founder and vice president of engineering at Right Track CAD. He holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree from the University of Manitoba, a Master of Sciences degree from the University of Illinois, and a PhD from the University of Toronto, all of which are in electrical engineering. The Versatile Place and Route CAD system he developed for his PhD thesis remains the most widely used academic placement, routing, and architecture exploration system for FPGAs.
