Photos from Oct 2010 tour of the proposed Path

The Friends of the Community Path are a group of citizens in Somerville and greater Boston who are advocating to extend this well-loved Somerville path 2.5 miles from its current ending at Cedar Street in Somerville to the Charles River paths.

Important GLX/CommPath Mtg. Thursday 10/20 - more info click here

The Community Path needs to be fully funded to be built as part of the coming Green Line Extension, the only practical way it can be constructed. Click to see our Sept.13 letter on the GLX delay and Path funding. 3/22 letter to the MPO on "lost" funding. Past letters to the MBTA board and to Env. Sec. Bowles & Transportation Sec. Jeff Mullan

The proposed route will follow the route of the existing Lowell line railroad tracks and the Green Line extension, linking the Minuteman Bikeway/Linear Park (the most-used rail trail in the USA) to the Charles River Paths!

Sound good? Paths like this happen only with community support, so we need you! more...

We want your input to design a proposal that meets the needs of everyone living nearby. Your concerns, ideas, and participation will help to make the best possible path.
