Port Foward Linksys Router

Port Forwarding is easy. Programs that automatically Foward Ports for you honestly probably require more work and troubleshooting than doing it yourself. And if you can use a program that does it for you, you can do it by yourself. It’s virtually the same process. 1) I open my Wireless Connections window by clicking on the Taskbar Icon (lower right hand corner). This can also be accessed through other ways like Control Panel I believe, but this way is easiest. 2) I find the Network I am connected to. If there are multiple Networks available, you will know which one you are connected to because it will say “Connected” Next to the one you want. Pretty simple, eh? 3) Right click your connection, then left click “Status” Then open “Details” This will provide you a multitude of information, all relevant to your Network connection. We don’t need all of it, but we need some. 4) Look for “IPv4 Default Gateway” The number after this (you can left click to highlight the bar like I did) is the (internal) IP Address of your Wireless Router. Enter this number into the address bar in ANY web browser (Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer…) 5) You will be prompted for a username and password. If you have a password and username, enter it. If you don’t have one, or don’t remember it try these combinations Username: admin Password: admin OR Username: admin Password: (Yes, I mean leave it empty) I have seen a router that uses Username: Admin Password: password These two combinations are the
