University City police announced Wednesday morning that a female suspect confessed to vandalizing the cars of ZBT members. She is a former acquaintance of one of the fraternity’s members, the press release said.

ZBT members returned from break to find that four of their cars had slashed tires. One of the cars had three swastikas keyed onto it, and another had the name “Ben” scratched onto it.

The good news is that the deed apparently has no anti-semetic basis other than to mislead…it would seem.

Name? Is she a student? You could at least say you don’t know these things yet…

The headline “Female confesses to vandalism …” took me aback.

Why not the usual, “Coed confesses to vandalism …” if she’s a college student? Or more simply, “Frat acquaintance confesses …”?

So far as I can tell, beginning a headline with “Female” is J-sexism.

Of course, that doesn’t excuse her alleged vandalism.

This sickens me. The worst punishment she will get is having to look at herself in the mirror for the rest of her life.
