Ucore Rare Metals Inc.

TICKER: UCU:TSX.V; UURAF:OTCQX

Visit Company Website

Ucore Rare Metals is an exploration company with significant holdings across North America. The company's Alaska-based flagship property, Bokan Mountain, is a past-producing high-grade uranium mine with an estimated untapped resource of +11 Mlbs. U3O8. The USGS estimates Bokan's rare earth elements (REE) resource is the largest combined heavy and light REE deposit in the U.S. (non-43-101 compliant). Bokan has near-term production potential and is located in an area designated for natural resource development, with no residential or indigenous populations in proximity.

Expert Analysis

The Critical Metals Report Interview with Luisa Moreno (3/20/12) "My top picks include Ucore Rare Metals Inc. . . Ucore should come out with a PEA in the next few weeks, and we should be able to better assess if it is an economically viable project. The project is in Alaska and we believe it is the most significant HREE deposit in the U.S. It's very interesting.. . . Ucore, on the other hand, continues to be another good option for Molycorp, although the company is still working on its metallurgy and may be seen as too early stage. When the PEA comes out, hopefully we'll have a much better idea of the progress of the project. . . I think there is great potential for Ucore and Tasman to be recognized by the market as potential targets." More >

Byron King, Agora Financial (3/14/12) "Ucore Rare Metals Inc.'s Bokan Mountain is a heavy rare earths play. . .it is still developing, but the company's management has made phenomenal progress in the 18 months that I've been following things. . .the state of the project has only improved over the past few months. . .I expect Ucore to make a deal in 2012. . .the players are out there, and the company has excellent prospects for the right partner."

The Critical Metals Report Interview with Jeb Handwerger (2/14/12) "Here's an interesting example of a company that has HREEs in its deposit right here in the U.S.: Ucore Rare Metals Inc. released an announcement that Alaska Governor Sean Parnell has allocated $8.1M in the proposed state budget for 2013 to expedite Ucore's development as a viable corporate entity. In other words, the state government of Alaska is sponsoring explicit support for Ucore's flagship Bokan Mountain project, which contains strategically important HREE metals of dysprosium and terbium. These metals have been highlighted by the U.S. Department of Energy as being at risk of a supply shortfall in the near term. With Ucore, Alaska has not only taken an active role in the development of a rare earth company but in reviving the whole rare earth and critical mineral industry from mining to magnets."

The Critical Metals Report Interview with Byron King (1/31/12) "Ucore Rare Metals Inc. has its principal ore site in Bokan Mountain, Alaska, near the southern end of the Alaska Panhandle. I love the geology and mineralogy at Bokan Mountain. It's extremely mineable. . .I think that this is a very extensive deposit. Lots of nice, clean vein structures. It's very mineable. I'm not worried that the Bokan Mountain play is a flash in the pan. It's quality orea 50:50 ratio of heavy rare earths to light rare earths. . .the Bokan Mountain district is more likely to get developed for a multitude of reasons. It has a mining legacy and a mining history in terms permitting. It is literally on top of a former mine site. There's an old uranium mine almost right next door to it. There is immensely good local and state support. There is no human habitation nearby. The footprint is also extremely small." More >

Kip Keen, Mineweb (1/17/12) "The share price of rare earths explorer Ucore Rare Metals Inc. surged after it announced assay results of gravel and sand samples from its Ray Mountain project in Alaska; the company climbed 11% to CA$0.44 on strong volumes early in the trading day on Monday. . .concentrates graded as high as 50% tin, 10% total rare earths and 0.01% to 1% tungsten, tantalum and niobium. Heavy rare earths made up between 15% and 25% of REEs in the bulk of its samples."
