Who We Are
DWG Inc. Consulting Engineers is a full service federally and locally certified small business that provides Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Communications design services with offices in Columbia and Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. DWG specializes in technical, economic, and feasibility studies; assessments of existing facilities, design of HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, power, fire alarm, data distribution, and project commissioning.
DWG Inc. is led by senior principals, Michael Weeks, PE, CxA and Philip Dalpiaz, PE, CxA, who are actively involved in the design and quality control process of every project to ensure the optimal result for the Client.
Our Philosophy
DWG Inc. Consulting Engineers provides our clients with “Consulting Services” not “Engineering Services”. The difference is as follows:
An engineer reacts to input from the Client to get answers. He has not prepared himself with solutions and ideas in advance and shows limited interest or understanding in the project.
A consultant is a professional who owns a specific set of professional skills, a demonstrated depth of experience and approaches each project by preparing for the kick off meeting and subsequent interactions with the Client, providing answers not questions. We present our thought out approach at each meeting and look for confirmation of our ideas. We listen and integrate the clients’ input into our approach and designs.
