VOTER REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
In order to vote in a California
election, you must complete a Voter Registration Form.
As a Los Angeles County resident you may register to vote:
- If you are a citizen of the United States;
- If you are at least 18 years of age (or will be by the date
of the next election);
- Are not in prison or on parole for a felony conviction.
HOW AND WHERE TO REGISTER
Voter Registration Forms - The Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk
provides Voter Registration forms and assistance in six languages
other than English in compliance with Federal and State laws
(Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Tagalog and Korean).
- Register In Person - Visit one of our Offices.
- Register By Mail – You can mail a completed Voter
Registration form to our office. Voter Registration
forms may be obtained in the following ways:

Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s

(800) 481-VOTE, 24 hours a day.
Obtain A Voter Registration Form At Most Government Buildings
Voter
Registration forms are available throughout Los Angeles County at
most County buildings, city halls, fire stations, libraries, State
Motor Vehicle Offices, Public Assistance Offices (DPSS, WIC), and
post offices.

a Voter Registration form in English or Spanish by
visiting www.sos.ca.gov/nvrc/fedform/.
VERIFY YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION STATUS
Check Voter Registration Status Online – Los Angeles County
residents may check voter registration status by using the online Voter
Registration Verification feature at www.lavote.net.
