By Rail
Trains from London Liverpool Street reach Ipswich in just over an hour. The main East Coast line (serving the North of England and Scotland) regularly connects with an Ipswich service at Peterborough.

National Express operates a daily service to Ipswich from London Victoria, Manchester, Sheffield and Nottingham. Stena Line operate a twice daily service to Harwich (only 32 miles from Ipswich) from the Hook of Holland. Regular services to Harwich, from Esbjerg are operated by DFDS Seaways.
