I/O is a monthly chip music and visuals show in New York City’s Lower East Side and Brooklyn. Its aim is to provide exposure for new and established chip musicians, visualists, and mixed media artists.

Embracing the DIY and punk rock philosophy, I/O has been free to play and free or low cost to attend since it began in 2009. By pairing established chip musicians and visual artists with new talent, it has also become a stepping stone to New York’s longest-running monthly chip music series, Pulsewave.

In addition to monthly chip shows, I/O has also been involved in and part of various shows and projects within the chip music community, including PAX East 2011, The Moon Comedy Show, and Chiptography.com
