Tim Allinson named vice president engineering for Murray Company

March 22nd, 2012

Rancho Dominguez, Calif. — Murray Company is a Design-Build Mechanical Contractor that installs in excess of $150 million in plumbing, process and mechanical piping systems annually. They will celebrate their 100-year anniversary in 2013.

Tim has been with Murray Company since June, 2004. He holds a BSME from Tufts University and an MBA from NYU. He is a professional engineer licensed in both mechanical and fire protection engineering in various states and is a LEED accredited professional.

The Engineering Department is responsible for all in-house engineering on Design-Build projects, as well as assisting both estimating and project management on engineering issues that arise during the bid process or the construction process when projects are designed by an outside firm. The Engineering Department also assists in the RFP process on Design-Build team efforts when we seek a project for award.

As vice president engineering, Tim plans to grow the Engineering Department in concert with the growth of Design-Build in the industry and at Murray Company. He will be challenged with transitioning the design process from a two-dimensional platform to a 3D design process, which the industry demands with greater frequency.
