Webcasts on Knowledge Translation Topics
The NCDDR offers webcasts to NIDRR grantees, people with disabilities and their families, professional organizations, and other stakeholders to increase awareness of and discussions regarding knowledge translation concepts and other topics of broad scope related to KT, standards of evidence, systematic review procedures, and effective outreach activities, and conclusions/implications from research addressing topics of high interest to consumers of evidence-based research.
Each webcast is approximately 60 to 90 minutes long and is moderated by a member of the NCDDR staff. Presenters include NIDRR grantees, policymakers, researchers, and other experts. The webcasts do not have a video component but provide audio with real-time captioning. Technical capabilities include the display of PowerPoint presentations and handout materials, including accessible formats. During the webcasts viewers are able to submit questions to the presenter(s) by e-mail or by toll-free telephone.
