The Yorkshire Dales Food Network
YDFN exists to provide services and solutions to help food related business in North Yorkshire to make the most out of the opportunities available to them by collaborating and communicating.
We are working alongside organisations such as REAL Food & Farming to provide practical help and solutions to local food businesses which will help them work together and promote them to the food buying public.
The Network will launch officially in September 2011, but we are currently in a “soft launch” where we are gradually adding content and testing various solutions with local producers, restaurants and retailers.
We are passionate about local food and about the North Yorkshire area and will do everything we can to help to improve the food economy in our region.
We are offering FREE membership to members of the public, who will be able to receive discounts and offers from local North Yorkshire food businesses and other benefits by being members.
We are working closely with a number of organisations to achieve our goals and strengthen the reach and effectiveness of the network, some of these include:
REAL Food and Farming Ltd – an organisation dedicated to highlighting the Yorkshire Dales Uplands and showcasing the businesses and communities that exist here.
North Yorkshire Local Foods – a website highlighting local producers, restaurants and retailers involved in local food.
Fresh Food – A website and series of radio and podcast episodes highlighting food in North Yorkshire.
Octavian Solutions – an internet company specialising in cost effective solutions for businesses and organisations.
